The bearing carriers of these drive shafts were electroplated with 2000 µm high grade nickel. Investment for new shafts would have been very expensive.
Only the inner bushing was worn (black arrow). A succesful repair was done by ELEKTROFORM by electropating 2000 µm high grade nickel (see white arrow)
Supporting ring for a ship´s engine.
Overhauling of supporting rings with 2000 µm electroplated nickel. The corrosion protection of our nickel coating is better than the previously uncoated surface.
